What is PDRN
PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a standardized mixture of DNA fragments. In cosmetic ingredient lists (INCI) it appears as Sodium DNA or Hydrolyzed DNA — both are present across all five SOOAHGLOW products. PDRN works in two roles: a signal telling skin to switch into recovery mode, and a ready-made building material for cell renewal.
How PDRN works in skin
A2A receptor activation
PDRN is an agonist of adenosine A2A receptors: it modulates inflammation (lowering TNF-alpha, IL-1β, IL-6, raising IL-10) and supports microcirculation and tissue renewal. Proven: an A2A blocker suppresses over 50% of the PDRN effect on fibroblasts (Shin et al., 2023).
Salvage pathway — building blocks for DNA
PDRN fragments break down into nucleotides that cells reuse to repair their own DNA. PDRN accelerates repair of UV-induced DNA damage in human fibroblasts (Belletti et al., 2007).
Fibroblasts and collagen
PDRN stimulates fibroblast proliferation, increases type I and III collagen synthesis and reduces MMP-1 activity (Jeong et al., 2017; Kim Y.J. et al., 2020). Hyaluronic acid amplifies this effect — the rationale for the PDRN + 11 hyaluronic acids pairing.
Barrier and hydration: PDRN + Galactomyces
Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate raises filaggrin (source of natural moisturizing factor) and strengthens the skin barrier (Yan et al., 2022). Together they complete the hydration-radiance-balance chain.

Honestly: the mechanism (A2A + salvage pathway) is shared by all PDRN types — it is defined by nucleotide chemistry, not the source. Salmon PDRN has the longer clinical history; marine vegan PDRN offers ethics, hypoallergenic logic and the clean-beauty trend.

KDRI patch tests (Korea)
All 5 products determined non-irritating: 24-hour patch test under dermatological control, 32 volunteers, irritation index 0.00–0.016 (Korean Dermatological Research Institute, December 2025).
PDRN in every formula
INCI: Sodium DNA in the foam, toner, cream and sun serum; Hydrolyzed DNA (lower molecular weight) in the ampoule essence. Galactomyces in all 5 products.
Stability and quality
Tested at 5–45 °C, cycling and light tests, microbiological purity <100 CFU/ml, 36-month shelf life (TDS/MSDS). Manufactured by Kolmar Korea, COSMOCOS, Cosleaguer, Minustory.

The five-step skincare system

Step 1 · Foam
Shake (dual-phase formula), massage 30–60 sec, rinse with lukewarm water. pH 5.5 — within the skin acid mantle zone.

Step 2 · Toner
3–5 drops pressed in with palms onto damp skin. Gentle PHA + CICA + 11 hyaluronic acids.

Step 3 · Essence
2–3 drops, pat 20–30 sec. Hydrolyzed DNA + ectoin + niacinamide + adenosine.

Step 4 · Cream
A pea-sized amount, 30–60 sec massage. 5 ceramides + aquaporin activation seal in moisture.

Step 5 · SPF (morning)
The two-finger rule, 15–20 min before going out. SPF50+ PA++++, 6 broad-spectrum filters.
